Membership Types

 

Each membership type may come with specific benefits, requirements, and privileges tailored to the group’s needs.

Regular/General Membership

Open to all women judges currently serving in the judiciary at any level within Nigeria.

Honorary Membership

Awarded to distinguished individuals or legal professionals who have significantly contributed to the advancement of women in the judiciary or the association’s objectives.

Life Membership

Awarded to members present at the Inaugural meeting of the Association held on Saturday. 25th May, 1991.

Amicus Judicii (Friend of the Association)

Open to persons interested in and subscribing to the objectives of the Association, being a person eligible for admission as an honorary member.

How to Join

Steps on How to join the National Association
of Women Judges Nigeria (NAWJN)
  • Go to the NAWJN official website or contact their regional
    or national office for membership details and forms
  • Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the membership type you
    wish to apply for (e.g., regular, honorary, or associate membership).
  • Obtain the membership form, fill in your personal, professional, and
    contact details accurately.
  • Provide any supporting document requested, such as proof of
    judicial or professional status, ID, or letters of recommendation
    if applicable
  • Pay the required membership fee according to your category. Payment
    instructions, including bank account details or online payment
    options, will be provided.
  • Submit your completed form and payment proof in person at the
    designated office.
  • Application Review and Approval
    The association will review your application and verify your
    documents. This process may take a few weeks.
  • Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email or letter with
    your membership details, benefits, and welcome package.
  • Engage Actively by participating in events, programs, and initiatives
    organized by NAWJN to maximize your membership benefits.
